Child Performance Compliance for Films including Film Workshops
Workshops are over 3 days but to remain compliant with the '3-day rule', as this is classified as 'performance days' under UK law.
Participants must:
1. Disclose any performance work (licensed or unlicensed) in the 6 months prior to this workshop.
2. Provide dates/organisation names for prior performance days.
3. Notify us immediately if the child has undertaken 3 or more performance days in the past 6 months. This will trigger a licence application with the child's local authority. There may be a fee payable to the council.
4. Participation in any Super 8 Academy Film production does not guarantee inclusion in the final cut of the film. Factors that may affect a participant’s final inclusion include, but are not limited to: absence from scheduled shoots, lack of actor preparedness (e.g., forgetting lines, being unable to take direction, disruptive behavior), and any technical or storytelling needs determined during the editing process. The final film and the story it tells will always take precedence over individual appearances. No refunds, credits, or alternative appearances will be offered solely on the basis of being edited out of the final version.

- Paid upfront; late cancellations follow class policy.
8. Data & Media
